#QuestionOfTheDay – Day 14 – Do you have MICRO or MACRO goals?

Jairek Robbins

micro vs macro

Hello, folks!

Jairek Robbins here, and today I’d like to chat about goals. Not just any goals, but specifically the difference between micro and macro goals. You see, these two types of goals play different yet complementary roles in our lives. Understanding how they function can give your ambitions some real, tangible traction.

Micro goals are your immediate, short-term goals. They’re the small steps you take each day that contribute to your larger vision. These goals are crucial because they provide quick wins, instant gratification, and momentum. Just finished that workout you’ve been dreading? Checked off a task from your work to-do list? These are micro victories!

On the other hand, macro goals are your big-picture, long-term goals. They’re the dreams you’re reaching for, the vision of your life in the future. Macro goals are the source of your motivation and excitement. They’re what get you out of bed in the morning, knowing you’re working towards something meaningful.

But how do you effectively use these two types of goals? Start by setting your macro goals. These will provide direction and a clear destination. Next, break them down into manageable, achievable micro goals. These will serve as your road map, guiding you towards your macro goals one step at a time.

Every day, strive to accomplish a few of your micro goals. Each one is a step forward, a small success that builds momentum and keeps you moving towards your macro goals.

The interplay between micro and macro goals is a dance of progress and aspiration. Use them wisely, and you’ll not only find the journey more manageable but also much more fulfilling. Remember, the road to success is always under construction, and it’s the little steps that make the big journey possible!

To your success,
Jairek Robbins
