SERIES: The Money Series<
In a world obsessed with overnight success, the quiet path of apprenticeship is often overlooked.
But if you study the lives of people who built lasting wealth + Financial Freedom, not just the flash-in-the-pan kind, but the deep-rooted, soul-aligned kind, you’ll notice something:
Almost all of them started by learning from someone who’d already walked the path.
Not copying.
Not leeching.
Not jumping from mentor to mentor looking for a “secret.”
They committed to the craft long before they expected the cash.
Before your money machine can run, you need parts.
And the highest-ROI parts in the early game are:
Most people attempt to scale without a clear structure.
They want the six-figure income, digital freedom, and a scalable business…
But they skip the stage where you actually learn how to create value.
That’s where an apprenticeship comes in.
Not as a job title.
As a mindset.
When I was just getting started, I worked three jobs.
My calendar was a prison.
My income had a ceiling.
And my energy was leaking into things I didn’t even enjoy.
So I made a decision that changed everything:
“I’m going to stop chasing quick wins and start mastering long-term skills.”
I found mentors.
I studied people who had already achieved what I wanted, not just in terms of income, but in life.
And I asked a better question:
“What do they know that I don’t?”
“What have they practiced more deeply than I have?”
“Where can I apprentice, observe, contribute, and learn?”
I wasn’t just looking for information.
I was learning the rhythm of mastery.
This isn’t a medieval idea.
It’s the most modern advantage you can create.
Because in today’s world:
And nothing builds execution like proximity.
When you apprentice under someone great:
You will have to let your ego go and commit.
It requires immersion.
Here’s the cycle I recommend to every client in the skill-building phase:
You don’t need dozens of mentors.
You need one aligned guide, a clear path, and the humility to start at zero.
I didn’t get here by accident.
I got here by learning:
And I learned most of it by apprenticing with intention.
Now I live part of the year in Puerto Rico and part in South Africa, working remotely, staying aligned, and building with joy.
But that freedom wasn’t luck.
It was earned skill by skill with guidance, patience, and purpose.
This is my neighbor on the wild life reserve we live on in South Africa.

Don’t rush the process.
This is where the foundation is built.
And if you build it right, you won’t have to rebuild it later.
Next up: Part 7 – Earning With Alignment
We’ll explore how to choose work that fuels you, funds your vision, and feels like you—not just a job title or revenue stream.
Because true wealth isn’t just about what you earn.
It’s about who you become in the process.
