Once your identity is aligned…
Once your mindset is recalibrated…
There’s a natural next question:
“Okay, how do I actually make the money now?”
This is where most people sprint blindly forward.
They chase the hot industry. The high-paying job. The fastest route to “success.”
And in doing so, they build a life that looks rich…
…but feels like a cage.
Because if your income system isn’t aligned with your values, energy, and vision for life
You’re not designing a money machine.
You’re building a money trap.
Imagine a DJ’s mixing console:
Dozens of sliders and dials that control volume, tempo, pitch, intensity.

Your income system works the same way.
You can:
The key isn’t to copy someone else’s board.
It’s to design the settings that fit the life you actually want.
They don’t ask:
“What kind of life do I want to live each day?”
They ask:
“What jobs are available?”
“What’s hot right now?”
“What will make me the most money, fastest?”
And so they chase a vision that was never theirs.
Ask yourself:
Once you’re clear on your lifestyle design, you can reverse-engineer the skills, business model, or role that supports it.
This is where the money machine begins.
People often ask how I ended up working from a tropical island for half the year and living in the wild bush of South Africa the other half.
It didn’t happen by luck.
It happened by design.
But here’s how it started:
I was working three jobs with zero freedom.
No control of my time, income, or environment.
And no clear roadmap forward.
So I stopped asking “What’s available?” and started asking:
“What would it take to build a life I don’t need a vacation from?”
The answer wasn’t a job.
It was a skill set.
That meant becoming a mentee finding mentors, apprenticing under those who had mastered the craft, and learning how to earn value before demanding it.
Because once you have the right skills, the money machine becomes flexible.
It can run from a laptop, a jungle, or a beach.
It can evolve with you.
It can scale when you’re ready.
I knew I wanted:
So I built a business that reflects that and the machine runs without me grinding 24/7.
Now, when people call and ask, “Wait, you’re still in Africa?” or “You’re still living in Puerto Rico?”
I smile and say:
“I’m not on vacation. I’m just living the plan.”
That’s what happens when you align income with identity.
Next up: Part 6 – Apprenticeship is the Shortcut
We’ll dig deeper into the mindset of humility, skill-stacking, and how finding the right mentor can collapse time and transform your trajectory.
Because it’s not about starting at the top.
It’s about learning to build a foundation that lasts.
