Does “Good Enough” Mean You’ve Settled In Life?

Jairek Robbins
choose your own path

Here’s a question: Are you supposed to just fall in love with the way life is because it seems “good enough”?

Or are you supposed to change things to make it the way you want it?

When you find yourself sitting at the corner of Awesome Sauce St & Ambitious Avenue (cheesy line credit: my wife). You tend to look at your life and try to figure out which road is the best one to be on. And it’s pretty common to jump back and fourth between the two because you never really know which is best.

So when we try and answer the question: “Should I simply fall in love with my life just as it is? Or should I set big goals and strive to make life the way I want it?” The answer isn’t as simple as just choosing one path, it’s much much more.

In today’s episode, I’m going to share a new way to look at this topic, a simple perspective shift and share the best suggestion I have for you. This outlook has helped many people experience peace of mind when trying to handle this fork in the road and feel confident about the path they are on.

The answer to this question will be quit different depending on who and where you are in life. For example, if you are a young man or woman in your 20s and your goal is simply to be happy, that’s great. Your answer might be pretty obvious, become a monk!

On the other hand, if you want a jet, a Maserati, 3 homes, and to own your own publicly traded company… your answer might be very different. One big factor to consider is what stage of life you’re at in life. More on that in today’s episode.

While you might be okay with burning the midnight oil, running yourself ragged until you hit your goal.. How long (or often) would you be willing to do that? At what point might you stop, burn out, or just settle for where you are at?

There is another key concept that I cover in today’s episode and that is when you’re working around the clock, burning yourself out still chasing those goals, maybe it’s time to take a break. Maybe it’s time to relax a little and enjoy life, family, work on your health etc.
