How would it feel to hear that best friend said something nice about you?
Proud?
Elated?
Instant Happiness?
What would if you heard the opposite? That your best friend was tearing you down on the other side of the room.
Ouch – that would probably sting a little bit. And realistically you would probably want to go back to the moments before where you had NO IDEA this was happening.
Knowing yourself – which of the two emotions would you dwell on?
So this week let’s think about these emotions and all the emotions in our life. Which are you giving the energy? What are you allowing to sink into our psyche and affect our performance? Which emotion do we allow to become true for us?
Check out today’s 100-day challenge video which touches on The Pygmalion effect, or Rosenthal effect, which is the phenomenon whereby others’ expectations of a target person affect the target person’s performance.
